About this festival

2017 was the beginning of a unique festival in Portugal, totally inspired by the classic Heavy Metal.
Metal Keeper lays against the tide of recent years as far as festivals are concerned. It tries to be very specific in the genre of music that offers in deterioration of the enlargement of styles in festivals, looking for a greater number of public, trying to please to all.

In this sense, and since traditional Heavy Metal has seen an exponential growth both in terms of new bands, big-name comebacks and a younger audience growth, it makes perfect sense to create a festival in Portugal that embodies this growth, in line with what already happening in recent years in Europe with a number of renowned festivals completely full every year.
