About this festival
Åmåls bluesfest is a blues festival in Åmål in Dalsland. Åmål's blues party was first in 1992 but the planning had begun in the 1980s. From the first edition with only 480 visitors, the festival has grown and in 2011 it was visited by about 7,000 people. In 2014, Åmål collected so little money from the blues so it was very close that there would be no blues festival in 2015.
